As seen in the starvation diet, when deprived of such fuels the homeostatic mechanisms allows the organism to fit and survive by allowing the stored fuel supplies to be apply by the brain (Hevor, 1994). The results form this experiment show that with the miss of dietary intake the Glycogen stores in the Liver go down importantly to compensate. Conversely under this diet the results show that the in the liver the G6Pase activity was at its highest which was expected as the G6pase is exclusively found in the liver tissue as the muscle uses the glycogen as its immediate nothing supply(Marieb & Hoehn, 2007 and Martini & Nath, 2009).
